The ideal candidate would have extensive knowledge and skills in all areas of heavy equipment to include over the road trucks. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic must be safety conscious, problem solver, hardworking individual with great communication skills and the ability to follow direction.
Job Responsibilities:
Inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair equipment to include company trucks and over the road trucks
Order parts and prepare repair estimates
Prepare accurate inspections and service reports and maintain other records as required
Keep work area clean and orderly
Work in a safe manner
Comply with company policies and government regulations
Must maintain a clean driver license and get a Class A or Class B endorsement
A complete set of tools
Over time and weekends as required
Willing to travel within state of New Mexico
Perform other duties as assigned
Experience:
Heavy Equipment Mechanic: 1 years (Preferred)
Electrical : 1 year (Preferred but not necessary)
Diesel engines a plus
Physical Demands:
Ability to sit, stoop, kneel, push, climb, move, reach, work over head, lift up to 60 lbs. and work in all weather conditions.
Must be able to operate a motor vehicle during both day and night as well.
Must be able to travel when needed.
