Primary Responsibilities:Sample preparation and analysis following published test methods and company/client SOPs.Specifically These Responsibilities Are To:Organize test samples including consumer goods such as DIY items, paper goods, plastic products and shipping containersPrepare test specimens from the samples submitted using hand tools and power toolsPerform both destructive and non-destructive physical testing on the samplesRecord test results in the format specified which includes handwritten datasheets, computer printouts and electronic data entryRoutine operation, maintenance, and validation of laboratory equipment and instrumentsAssist in the investigation of, response to, and follow-up of client inquiries and complaintsMay assist in limited internal and external technical support to marketing, sales, customer services, and clients regarding test, report, and other technical informationCoordinate with other laboratory technicians and/or assistants on sample receiving, logging, pretreatment, preparation, testing and other tasksConduct multiple projects within tight deadlinesOther projects and tasks assigned by company and supervisorsAbility to lift and move sample boxes up to 25 lbs
