Classification Summary:
Under indirect supervision, oversees the operational planning, establishment, execution, and evaluation of a multifaceted program/project typically consisting of a set of closely related subprograms or associated activities. Oversees fiscal, operational, administrative, and human resources management of the program; seeks and develops outside funding sources. The program/project is usually focused to a single purpose; may be scientific, research, education, and/or services oriented, and is usually funded through contract/grant provisions.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and implement STEM programs, workshops, and events for high school students that promote active learning in physical science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
-Create an engaging curriculum and hands-on experiences that align with PSL’s mission, integrating cutting-edge topics such as aerospace, cybersecurity, data science, and robotics.
-Expand program reach to schools, with particular focus on under-resourced and rural communities that lack STEM resources.
-Identify and develop new program initiatives to keep PSL’s offerings innovative and relevant to student interests and objectives.
-Lead the planning, execution and execution of programs associated with NMSU PSL.

Must be a U.S. Citizen
Ability to obtain a DoD clearance and maintain clearance throughout employment.
This position is subject to random drug testing in compliance with its drug-free workforce requirements.
This position has been established as a primary key position under the “All Hazard Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP)” and is essential to operational continuity and/or recovery. In an emergency situation, primary key positions are required to report to work unless directed by supervisor or public safety authorities not to report for health and safety reasons.
