We are looking for an Azure Platform Engineer with a strong background in government projects and expertise in both Azure Government and commercial Azure environments. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our platform is reliable, scalable, and optimized for performance. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, leveraging the full potential of Azure cloud technologies.ICE division consists of more than 350 talented Solution Architects, Computer Systems Professionals, and Computer System Technician employees who provide the varied Laboratory organizations with Information Technology experts who design, build, and support their mission-driven technical needs, on the unclassified and classified networks through several different service touchpoints. In addition, optimize the use of information technology, ensure seamless delivery and operation of IT services by monitoring system performance, applying configuration management practices, creating processes and standards for selection and implementation.What You NeedMinimum Job Requirements:
Extensive experience building Azure platform on the cloud
Experience with DevOps (DevSecOps) principles and practices such as the creation and management of automated pipelines
Ability to implement cloud-native solutions, focusing on scalability, cost efficiency, and security in Azure.
Ability to leverage tools like Terraform, GitLab, ARM templates, or Bicep to automate the provisioning and management of Azure resources.
Proven experience working with Microsoft Azure services (VMs, Azure Functions, App Services, Storage, Networking, AKS, etc.)
Education/Experience:Position requires a bachelor's degree and 8 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.Desired Qualifications:
Monitoring & Optimization: Use Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights to monitor platform performance and identify areas for optimization.
Experience with Active Directory, RBAC security, and networking best practices (VNET, VPN, ExpressRoute).
Understanding of Azure security features such as Azure Firewall, Key Vault, Security Center, and compliance tools.
Strong scripting skills in PowerShell or Azure CLI for automation tasks.
Work Location: The work location for this position has the potential for remote work. Remote work is defined as working offsite that is greater than 2 hours of the Laboratory location. Reporting onsite may be periodically necessary.
