What You Will DoThis position provides leadership and oversight as Los Alamos National Laboratory Estimating and Risk Manager within the Project Controls organization. The Estimating and Risk Manager position will supervise the estimating and risk groups and establish LANL policy regarding estimating and risk on programs and projects.The Estimating and Risk Manager provides functional oversight over all estimating and risk management groups and ultimately establish processes and tools including: qualitative and quantitative estimating and risk assessments, identification and analysis of estimating and risk actions, and provide innovative solutions and value engineering. Provide functional oversight to the estimating and risk managers and provide guidance in coordinating and establishing project baseline estimates and risk profiles, maintenance and update of estimates, including providing project level data input to the ALDCP portfolio of project for estimate health metric reporting.This Estimating and Risk Manager will identify, analyze, and provide innovative solutions to executive management and supports and promotes improvement measures and implementation of recommendations for the Los Alamos National Laboratory. The Estimating and Risk Manager interfaces with all levels of leadership and project management for estimating and risk management issues and provides policy guidance for the display or presentation of estimating and risk information. The Estimating and Risk Manager supports organizational and functional administrative activities, including, personnel performance reviews and career counseling, interviews candidates for employment and makes recommendations for employment decisions.This position requires a strong leadership capability teamed with an in-depth knowledge of estimating and risk objectives and the proven ability to develop and implement policies that support those objectives in conjunction with LANL Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and Project Management policies.Additional DetailsDirective 206.2 - Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2 .
