Full-Time Summer/School Year/After Care Teacher
compensation: dependent upon experience and education

We are looking for an experienced, personable, energetic, skilled and loving teacher with a background in Early Childhood and/or Elementary Education to fill a substitute and potentially part- or full -time position on our team-oriented staff.
Description of position:
- Full-time position starting in June (for 6 weeks of Summer Camp), continuing for 10-month school year (August- May)
- hours/schedule 30-35 hours, likely to include After Care hours (until 4:30 pm)
Teachers are expected to work on a team with 2-3 Co-Teachers in classrooms ranging from 10-24 students to develop and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum for Early-Childhood and Pre-Elementary aged children. Teachers are responsible for classroom management, scheduling, planning, and leading/engaging in hands-on, individualized, creative and well-developed lessons and activities.
Teachers are expected to engage and communicate thoroughly, consistently and frequently with teachers, children, and families in the school community. Teachers are required to participate in and contribute time, effort and expertise to school-related events and programs. Teachers should be strongly interested in and independently pursuant of furthering their experience and education in the fields of ECE and Elementary Education. Teachers are counted on to participate in all interactions and activities with enthusiasm, high energy, strong initiative and professionalism.
Position requirements:
- GED or higher; education and experience in ECE or Elem. Ed. preferred
- Proficient and professional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work professionally and positively with team members
- Candidate must be willing and able to clear required background check, attain First Aid/CPR certification, and fulfill all annual staff training requirements as well as additional professional development as deemed necessary.
