Description We are in search of a Network Administrator to be part of our team located in SANTA FE, New Mexico. This role provides an opportunity to work in the government services sector, playing a pivotal role in the design, installation, and support of our network systems. This is a contract to hire employment opportunity, with a focus on ensuring the seamless operation of our network infrastructure.Responsibilities: Build, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN and WAN systems to ensure optimal network performance. Implement and manage network devices such as switches and routers, ensuring efficient network traffic management. Handle Level 1 or Level 2 network support, providing technical assistance and resolving network-related issues. Ensure the security of the network infrastructure, incorporating Firewall technologies where necessary. Develop and maintain a solid understanding of our network infrastructure, including the ability to identify and rectify network issues. Collaborate with other team members, reaching out for help and utilizing resources when needed. Work with a focus on cybersecurity, implementing measures to protect our network from cyber threats. Understand and work with Cisco Networking technology, although certification is not a prerequisite. Manage the network for a campus environment, understanding the unique requirements and challenges this presents. Knowledge of Fortigate would be beneficial, although not a requirement for the role.Requirements Must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar role Experience with Wide Area Network (WAN) and Local Area Network (LAN) is necessary Familiarity with Router Switches is a must Cisco Networking skills are essential Must possess strong problem-solving skills Understanding of network protocols, network security principles and network management is required Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team A degree in Computer Science, IT or relevant field is preferred Relevant certifications such as Network+ or CCNA will be an added advantage Proficient knowledge of Firewall Technologies is required+ Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously is necessary Must be willing to stay updated with the latest advancements in technology and network administration.
