Job DescriptionYou'll drive solutions in the Data Center Automation and Analytics organization that help OCI continue its ground-breaking growth while driving greater efficiencies. With hundreds of thousands of customers around the globe, our cloud solutions are being used by businesses ranging from startups to the Fortune 100, from grade schools to graduate schools, and from counties to countries.Career Level - IC4ResponsibilitiesAs a program manager in the Data Center Automation & Analytics organization, you will be an integral member of a team that is inventing better ways of designing, building, and operating the physical infrastructure of the cloud.What you’ll do:

Leverage your background in statistics, operations research, or data science to develop analytics and models that guide improved operational and business efficiency in our data centers and hardware fleet

Develop prototype and PoC tools and models to analyze and visualize data, rapidly delivering strategic business value

Work across stakeholder teams to establish canonical data definitions and KPIs for Data Center operations

Partner with data engineers in the development of efficient, performant data models and data pipelines

Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data quality and accuracy

Continually learn. Deeply understand the business processes and technologies required to design, build, and operate a network of public cloud datacenters.

Evangelize and educate datacenter designers, builders, and operators in using the solutions you develop. Create content to help enable customer success.

Who you are:

Background in statistics, operations research, data science, or econometrics

High degree of comfort with data architecture

Advanced Excel skills

Ability to communicate analytical relationships through visual presentation

Experience querying and analyzing data using SQL, R, Python, SAS, Stata or similar

A love of problem solving and examining data from all angles

Strong written and verbal communication skills to drive clarity and decision-making among engineering partners and stakeholders

Nice to have: Familiarity with data center operations and software systems for hardware.

Required Qualifications

8+ years of career experience

Bachelor’s degree in Applied Math, Data Science, Economics, or related technical field with 5+ years of applied experience

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree

Consulting (or similar) experience focused on analytics, economics, or operations research

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.
