This position supports providers and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care and clinic maintenance. We are particularly looking for someone that is going to be reliable and able to show up to work consistently
What you'll do:
Provide direct and indirect support to the delivery of patient care
Prepare exam rooms and patients to be seen by provider
Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges
Check the patient's vital signs, including temperature, respiration, pulse, height, weight, blood pressure, and pulse oximeter reading
Assist with prescription refills, electronic health record alerts, and other time sensitive delegated tasks
Ensure supplies, exam rooms, and treatment rooms are properly sanitized and stocked
Respond to emails, phone calls, and voicemails
Data entry, filing, and faxing or emailing documents
Adhere to infection control standards, OSHA standards, and aseptic techniques
Strictly adhere to HIPAA standards
Participate in staff meetings and provide constructive criticism with the mindset of providing solutions for improvement
Other duties as assigned
Help manage the inventory of medical supplies, setting up machines and testing equipment, and cleaning instruments and rooms as needed.
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Education/Credentials:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Medical assistant certification
Minimum of 2 years of recent, continuous experience in a medical assistant role
Experience:
2+ years experience as a Certified Medical Assistant (required)
Experience as a receptionist (preferred)
Managerial experience (optional but a plus)
Skills:
Service oriented.
Time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency across multiple computer operating systems and programs
Ability to adhere to a compliance program and HIPAA standards and policies
Able to receive and apply constructive input for performance improvement and growth
Willingness to learn
Team player
Bilingual preferred
