Classes will be held on site at Teresian House Nursing Home. Classes fill up fast, so please apply now!
Course consists of 6 weeks of training before the certification test. Attendance required for all dates (February 3rd though March 6th). Classes are generally held on weekdays.
Training pay rate will increase after certification is received, and you are placed into a C.N.A. position.
Trainee Responsibilities:
Attend and complete the Certified Nurse Aide Training course, which addresses all areas of care rendered to a given population (i.e. geriatric) within the scope of practice of a Certified Nurse Aide. This will encompass biological, psychological and social elements at the beginning level in a health care setting where aides are employed
Complete work assignments, be prompt & prepared for class, and maintain excellent attendance.
Learn the skills and competencies required for a C.N.A. in both a clinical and classroom setting.
Adhere to all facilities rules. Violators may be removed from the class at the discretion of the facility.
Do your best with our preparation assistance to pass the examination upon completion of the training.
What you will need:
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.; high school diploma, GED, or equivalent life experience preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a sincere desire to help the elderly.
Compassionate.
