Description We are offering a part-time contract to hire employment opportunity for a Help Desk Analyst I in Albany, New York. In this role, you will be expected to provide key technical support, manage software updates, and assist in maintaining our technology infrastructure. This position is within the IT industry and requires a broad understanding of various systems and hardware including Cisco and Citrix Technologies, Mac computers, Microsoft products, and Active Directory.Responsibilities: Provide guidance on the purchase of equipment based on current technology, best practices, and pricing. Perform regular back-ups of software and hardware, including internet-based phone systems and accounting software. Ensure compliance with all software updates and licensing for servers, users, and equipment. Manage the organization's internet connection, wireless routers, and switch cascade. Set up new equipment with prescribed software, protection, access modes, and new-user accounts. Assist with major updates to the organization's website, mobile app, and technology infrastructure. Troubleshoot issues with the internet-based phone system and desktop computer, laptop, printer, and internet connection. Handle website password verification and activation. Oversee the ordering, tracking, and inventory of equipment, including cellular phones and tablets, as well as license agreements. Attend local and remote meetings, coordinating and operating meeting equipment and systems.
