Duties Description The New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct is seeking an administrative assistant who is detail oriented, organized, versatile, able to multi-task and to work discreetly with sensitive and confidential matters. Solid computer skills required; familiarity with the NY court system a plus. Excellent benefits.Duties include: assisting Information Services Director with tasks related to the electronic dissemination of materials to Commission Members; providing support to administrative, investigative & legal staff in all office locations as it pertains to materials for Commission Members; assisting Information Services Director with tasks related to Public Files and Records Management; scanning documents; Tracking documents and tasks; preparing mail and shipments; providing reception coverage;and, other administrative, secretarial & clerical duties as assigned.Required skills: Proficiency in Microsoft WORD and EXCEL and Adobe Acrobat Professional Fast and accurate typing Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work Integrity, honesty, trustworthiness and discretion Patient and calm telephone manner in dealing with the public Capable of working independently Comfortable moving, sorting and scanning hard-copy documents Occasional trips to the post office and/or other shipping locations will be required Occasional overtime will be required Additional Comments This position is eligible for full NYS benefits including: health, dental and vision insurance; pension plan; generous paid time off; etc.This position will be filled in either New York City or Albany.
