Description We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team in Albany, New York. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity in the mining and hosting industry. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for handling a variety of accounting functions, including customer invoicing, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end and quarter-end duties. Responsibilities: Handle customer invoicing, with an average of 15 invoices per month Serve as backup for accounts payable functions Perform balance sheet reconciliations on a regular basis Prepare and post journal entries as part of the accounting cycle Assist with month-end and quarter-end closing processes Participate in the preparation of SEC filings Monitor and manage customer accounts, taking appropriate action when necessary Utilize accounting software systems for various accounting tasks Support auditing processes by providing necessary information and documentation Handle accounts receivable duties, including processing payments and maintaining accurate records Requirements A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role Proficiency in accounting software systems Comprehensive knowledge of accounting functions Experience in managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) Familiarity with accrual accounting principles Proven experience in auditing Ability to handle month-end close procedures Experience with quarter-end accounting activities Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required CPA or similar certification is preferred Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills Strong organizational and time management skills Solid communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and as part of a team High level of integrity and professionalism.
