Position Title: Assistant Director of Procurement Systems & OperationsPosting Number: P240233Employer: StateSalary Range: $100,000 - $115,000FTE: 1.00Position Summary: The Business Reporting and Systems (https://www.buffalo.edu/administrative-services/about-us/leadership-and-organization/admin-svcs-units/business-services/business-reporting-and-systems.html) unit within Business Services is seeking an Assistant Director of Procurement Systems & Operations that will be responsible for managing and maximizing the functionality of campus business and reporting systems.In this highly interactive role within Business Reporting and Systems, and under the guidance of the Assistant Vice President of Business Reporting and Systems in conjunction with the Assistant Vice President of Purchasing and Contract Services, in this position you will be responsible for:

Adherence to all state, federal, and SUNY guidelines, as well as have oversight for all procurement systems, system administration, Help Desk, and training.

Serve as a liaison to the SUNY e-procurement (Jaggaer) team, technical representatives, internal IT staff, and other IT experts. Additionally, the Assistant Director will be expected to lead a team supporting the University’s e-Procurement system (Jaggaer) and all source-to-pay business operations, including but not limited to supplier set-up, catalog/punch-out administration, oversight for Research Foundation, State, and UB Foundation activities.

Bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher).

Three (3) years of full-time experience in Procurement.

A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the requirement

Management experience.

System Administration experience in supporting a source-to-pay e-Procurement system (Jaggaer, Coupa, Ariba).

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree (foreign equivalent or higher).

Experience in the buying processes in a governmental, institutional, or higher education setting.

System Administration experience with a source-to-pay e-Procurement system supporting 5000 or more end users.

Data mining and analytic experience.

The ideal candidate should be a highly motivated and inquisitive big-picture thinker with the capacity to work independently and as a team player in a fast-paced and diverse professional environment. Effective communication and interaction across the full spectrum of different perspectives and personalities will be particularly important. The Assistant Director of Procurement Systems and Operations will also need to exhibit outstanding supervisory, problem-solving, and organizational skills and oversee multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
