The analyst will design, develop, and maintain reports and processes to integrate data from various sources, proactively monitor and validate projects to ensure data quality, and analyze data anomalies to identify and resolve issues. The Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business rules and logic, ensuring that data solutions align with operational and business needs. If anomalies are identified, the analyst will create the correction plan and work with the business/vendor to reconcile data issues in source, projects, or reports.Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative/research discipline required. Master’s degree preferred. An additional four (4) years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

Three (3) years of analytics experience required. Experience in a managed health care environment preferred.

Fundamental knowledge of data mining concepts preferred.

Knowledge of industry analytical concepts (courses or certification preferred).

Knowledge of healthcare concepts and healthcare data, for example CPT, HCPCS, DRG, ICD-10/ICD-9 Code, etc.

Experience integrating data into reports with at least one of the less-common data sources, unstructured or cloud-based data, which are inclusive of but not limited to EMR data, ADT data, LOINC coded base data, immunization data, JSON files, etc.

Experience working within departmental standards, procedures and data quality requirements.

Knowledge of data mining tools, for example SQL, SAS, R, Python, etc.

Knowledge of reporting tools, for example Excel, Qlik, Streamlit, etc.

Ability to identify problematic areas with the data and research to determine the best course of action to correct the data.

Ability to translate customer requirements into reports/analyses and frame questions that create value for the business partners.

Ability to present and communicate outputs and statistical analysis that meets the needs of and is easily understood by the business partners.

Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Ability to work in a remote or office environment.

Ability to innovate and enhance existing solutions.

Essential Accountabilities

Develop standard reports using SAS, SQL, Python, or other reporting tool to ensure data quality, and analyze data anomalies to identify and resolve issues. Work with other staff to ensure data accuracy and make suggestions for enhancements to existing standard processes. Automate assigned standard reports when possible.

Work on multiple analysis/projects at the same time in response to day-to-day requests.

Design, develop, and maintain standardized and ad hoc reports and data foundational solutions to integrate data from various sources. Monitor and maintain data quality metrics.

Analyze data anomalies and identify correction processes.

Ensure data accuracy and integrity by proactively monitoring and validating department and corporate projects.

Work with the business and vendors to reconcile data issues in source and projects.

Present output in user friendly manner.

Provide summary of results and work independently and with others to develop recommendations when applicable.

Deliver work according to department SOP.

Bring new ideas and enhancements to existing reports.

Review and validate data and findings prior to releasing report to analyst and customer to ensure accuracy.

Proactively monitor and validate department and corporate projects to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Work with other Informatics teams to establish data lineages and relationships as they pertain to assigned reports.

Proactively research different topics or develop new ideas to support department goals or corporate strategic goals.

Perform outcome evaluation of business initiatives around, but not limited to:

Cost and utilization.

Medical and Pharmacy cost savings initiatives.

Econometrics studies.

Immigration or work visa sponsorship will not be provided for this positionHiring Compensation Range: $70,000 - $80,000 annuallyCompensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to skills, education, location and experience.In addition to base compensation, associates may be eligible for a scorecard incentive, full range of benefits and generous paid time off.
