Actalent Scientific is Hiring!Description:Under limited supervision, conducts in-process and finished product testing to determine adherence to established specifications of quality and purity.Essential Job Functions:Conduct laboratory tests and analyze data for a variety of purposes, such as production, pollution control, quality control, and minor researchTest and analyze products such as flour, to determine if product meets plant specifications prior to releaseRelease in spec vessels and report out of spec vesselsTest and analyze production samples and report uncharacteristic resultsDocument results of tests, readings, etc. in logbooks and in TLC (Total Lab Client)Complete certificates of analysisPrepare chemical solutions for use in labMaintain and calibrate all lab equipment and related field instrumentationMaintains awareness and adheres to all FDA, GMP, TTB, USP, EPA, OSHA and employer standards and guidelinesSupport and comply with all food safety, quality, and legality requirementsOther duties as assignedMinimum Job Requirements:Ability to work on multiple tasksGood organizational skillsWillingness to assume and learn new responsibilitiesExcellent communication skillsDemonstrated troubleshooting skillsStrong attention to detailAble to understand and comply with plant GMP and personnel practice requirementsComputer skills to utilize lab instrument operation programsDemonstrated math skills to perform calculations associated with lab testingEducation/Training:2 or 4 year science degree is preferred, a high school diploma or GED is requiredExperience:2 plus years of work experience in a quality assurance lab preferredRelocation assistance is not available with this positionSkills:quality, chemistry, biology, quality controlTop Skills Details:qualityAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Attention to detailorganizationTime managementExperience Level:Entry LevelAbout Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
