Overview:The Finance Product Manager – Performance Management partners with the Financial Planning & Analysis department to identify necessary capabilities that drive business outcomes in service of all performance management, planning and forecasting activities, and works across the organization to support the delivery of those capabilities. The Product Capability Manager champions efforts through a cross functional team that provides capability expertise, leveraging industry best practices for wide-scale usability. They capture high level business requirements and outcomes and translate into user stories, such that delivery teams can convert to executable deliverables. They work with business leaders and subject matter experts to ensure continual improvements and enhancements to overall processes and systems that support our customers while maintaining a high standard of quality.Responsible for the management of multiple product and/or the services for the Finance Division. Plays an integral role in the design and development of products, and supports strategies and goals to ensure successful implementation. Works cross-functionally to ensure products/services achieve desired outcomes. Formulates and implements policy and procedures.Ensures that application of M&T leadership, values and commitment through direct and indirect managers. May have profit/loss responsibility for the product.Primary Responsibilities:

Sets strategic direction for assigned product lines, and presents business plans to senior management and employees.

Understand product capabilities and recommend product opportunities, as well as understand and manage product risk. Ensure product complies with legal or regulatory requirements.

Manage all aspects of new product implementation and existing product modification to include but not limited to the design and development of services; act in a liaison capacity with affected departments. Support business process re-engineering in accordance with application capabilities, data, policies and procedures.

Evaluate new product/services success; recommend changes in service or strategy. Continuously improve the product capabilities and supporting business processes in partnership with affected departments.

Provide ongoing group and individual training for staff in regard to product knowledge and best practices and procedures.

Maintain an awareness of new trends and developments in products and services. Review, evaluate and recommend new services, new products, or the modification of existing services or products.

Performs reporting and analysis relating to the product portfolio.

Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.

Responsible for the development and training of team members, both directly and indirectly.

Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

Complete other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of10 years’ proven marketing, product management, financial, operations and/or project management experience,OR in lieu of a degree,A combined minimum of 14 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 10 years’ proven marketing, product management, financial, operations and/or project management experience.M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $118,945.80 - $198,243.00 Annual (USD).
