Hours: 7:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (6.5 hours per day, 32.5 hours per week) - 10 month duty scheduleMinimum Qualifications: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma, and; additional experience and knowledge in a particular field where specialized duties are involved; or have served in a community service organization, child-centered service or educational organization for a minimum of one (1) year; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Duties of Assignment: 1:1 aide for 2 special education students. Provide student support in all academic areas, which may include: behavior modification programs through encouragement and emotional development; provide direct supervision for student while attending academic classes and extracurricular activities; provide guidance, support and proximity control throughout the realm of any given school day; duties may include lifting, feeding, and personal care duties that may include toileting and personal hygiene as noted on the student’s IEP.
