Objective
Join a fast growing hospitality group in the Hudson Valley in a key role managing our bar program across multiple businesses, including a niche wine and spirits store, an events business, and multiple restaurants. Must have a passion for good products and understand how the bar program fits into our company vision. This role will work closely with our Culinary Director and Director of Service Operations to set menus and standards across the company. Passion for this product and role is a must, as well as knowledge of high quality products.
Responsibilities
Curate wine and spirits selection for a niche wine and spirits shop which includes all weekly ordering and pricing. Oversee employees at that location. Participate in programming the shop and visual representation of the space
Spearhead event sales and meet with wedding parties and other prospective groups, for catering sales and all other events.
Collaborate with bar staff and Director of Operations at restaurants to order and set menus in keeping with the ethos and menu concepts of each space.
Monthly review ratios across all entities to ensure accurate pricing and hit COGS targets set with Management.
Establish beverage menu and plan for all outside events including wine dinners, festivals etc.
Stay current and knowledgeable about products.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years in Hospitality Industry
Experience in a management capacity
Extensive knowledge of wine, spirits, and craft beer. Knowledge of Hudson Valley products a plus.
