Req Number 143164Job DescriptionManages, plans, and organizes the staff and activities of rehabilitation services to ensure the quality and efficiency of care rendered. Monitors/administers treatments in accordance with the written and signed prescription and/or referral of a licensed physician or other State authorized practitioner.Job Responsibility

Provides leadership to Rehabilitation Services team members and supervisors by communicating and guiding toward achieving department objectives.

Develops, communicates, and builds consensus for goals in alignment with the health system.

Manages implements staffing requirements and improves productivity of service.

Oversees maintenance of equipment to ensure constant operation and makes recommendations for purchase of capital and non-capital equipment.

Develops and manages directly reporting management, and oversees the development and management of their staff.

Builds and maintains productive intra-departmental work relationships to optimize operations.

Ensures compliance with government and agency regulations.

Recommends, implements and adheres to approved operating goals, objectives and budget.

Reports operational performance, justification and/or corrective action.

Ensures coordination, integration, communication, implementation, integrity and evaluation of operating policies and procedures.

Job Qualification

Master's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Current License to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York State, or Current License to practice as a Registered Occupational Therapist in New York State, or Current License to practice as a Speech Pathologist in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.

6-8 years of relevant experience and 2-5 years of leadership / management experience, required.
