Seeking EXPERIENCED tax preparer for a Queens tax preparation and accounting firm.
Required: 3+ years experience working in a tax / accounting firm during busy season.
Duties include:
- greeting customers, collecting tax documents and obtaining signatures and payments
handling office administrative tasks including bill payments and correspondence
bookkeeping for business clients
- preparing tax returns for Individuals and Corporations
- responding to clients' Tax Notices, including contacting State and federal tax officials
- onboarding clients to the client portal
- email and online marketing outreach to clients
Must be fluent and competent in written and spoken English.
Must have the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
Must have prior office administrative experience in a NYC tax or accounting business and be technically savvy.
Position is Full time during tax busy season; P/T with hybrid schedule from May.
