Computer Science Instructor (2024-25)
Brunswick School, a leading boys' day school in Greenwich, CT, is looking for an inspiring Computer Science Instructor for the 2024-25 academic year. If you're passionate about teaching and have a knack for making complex concepts engaging, we'd love to have you on board.
What You'll Do:

Teach introductory courses in Python, Java, Web Design, and Physical Computing to 9-12 grades.
Develop and implement lesson plans that help students excel in computer science.
Adapt your teaching methods to cater to diverse student needs.
Be an active member of our school community, including participating in dept. and faculty meetings, field trips and school events.
Keep abreast of the latest trends in computer science education and collaboratively develop engaging content to enhance learning experiences.
Who You Are:

You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Skilled in multiple programming languages, especially Python, Java, and HTML.
You're enthusiastic about teaching and committed to student success.
Flexible and nurturing in your approach to education.
Available for the full academic year (September to June), Monday through Friday.
Open to participating in additional school activities, embracing the full scope of our vibrant school community.
Prior teaching experience, ideally spanning a few years, is a plus.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

You are comfortable working in various physical postures, including bending, sitting, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
Ability to lift and handle educational materials, including textbooks, is essential.
Adequate manual dexterity for using office equipment, educational resources, and assisting students in different activities.
The role demands adaptability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple challenges, deadlines, and a range of interactions.
