Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in the Non-Profit industry, located in New York, New York. The chosen candidate will be working in an office setting, handling various administrative tasks including scheduling meetings, managing electronic communications, and maintaining organized records. Responsibilities Handle the general voicemail box by responding to messages or forwarding them to the appropriate person. Oversee the consolidated email account, ensuring all emails are forwarded to the appropriate staff members as required. Facilitate meeting arrangements by sending out notices and receiving RSVPs. Monitor online registrations and forward information to the relevant volunteer. Schedule virtual meetings for staff and volunteers. Maintain and update the electronic calendar, sharing events with staff and volunteers as appropriate. Create and maintain directories for various stakeholders. Generate mail merges for correspondence and labels. Monitor email campaign open rates and inform the appropriate director of findings. Maintain segmented email distribution lists using appropriate online programs and/or software. Assist in sending eblasts as needed. Maintain organized electronic files. Create and send electronic responses from the online registration website. Assist in creating online event surveys. Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Experience in customer service and handling inbound and outbound calls Ability to schedule appointments efficiently Excellent skills in data entry Experience in answering inbound calls promptly and professionally Proficiency in email correspondence Familiarity with the non-profit industry Ability to provide administrative support as needed Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
