This is a strategic and analytical role reporting directly to the VP and General Manager of the business, contributing to business planning and team management initiatives. In addition to supporting the Everyday Spend team, the Analyst will be an integral and key member of the National Client Group Executive Office, supporting leadership in executing key strategic projects. The role will provide an opportunity for the Analyst to develop knowledge of the U.S. Merchant Services business, gain experience working as part of global organization, drive and lead key projects, as well as gain deep industry insight into some of the most strategic segments of the merchant business.Responsibilities:
Drive collaboration across the Everyday Spend team by supporting business development and marketing partnerships.
Lead initiatives and deliverables to drive value for the National Client Group including Quarterly Business Reviews and strategic projects for Executives across American Express.
Research, analyze and prepare data and insights for industry analysis, merchant strategy development and business reviews as well as internal account planning
Play an active role in the team, contributing ideas and recommendations to help drive growth of charge volume across the portfolio
Manage periodic reviews of budget for the team
Help lead key team activities including teambuilding events, team meetings and leadership team strategy sessions
Qualifications:
Analytical skills and financial acumen, comfortable using data to formulate and support theories
Proven decision making and problem solving capabilities
Excellent organization and project management skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects at various stages simultaneously
Demonstrated collaboration skills, able to drive results working across multiple partners at various levels throughout the organization
Ability to work cohesively with senior leaders
Proven ability to learn business systems, including reporting and CRM tools
Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
1-3 years of similar work experience
Bachelor's Degree required
