About our Team RELX operates a global treasury team supporting the RELX business operations and providing advice and expertise on treasury matters including Advisory, Transactions, Funding and Accounting. The team is based in the UK, US, and Ireland. About the Role In this position, you will manage the Treasury Manager and Treasury Analyst. The team will support the RELX businesses/ affiliates operating in the US and Canada and provide treasury advisory support. You will ensure that the US and Canada are efficiently and appropriately funded and work with Treasury colleagues on debt capital market transactions and inter-affiliate lending. Responsibilities

Providing advice and support in treasury and banking related fields. This includes the implementation, optimization and maintenance of cash management concentration and pooling structures, and systems.

Managing and overseeing treasury and banking implications in various projects while assisting in internal projects and preparation and review of various Advisory reports.

Advising affiliated companies on capital structuring, funding, foreign exchange considerations and hedging as well as various treasury and banking issues. Managing integrations with Intercompany Netting and Foreign Exchange systems.

Maintaining relationships with core RELX banks and stay current on banking products/services. Coordinating any bank tenders and implementation of selected cash management solutions for North America

Managing, administering and implementing the advisory services program

Working with the business unit personnel and banks to ensure proper controls are in place over all cash management services.

Assisting with the issuance and maintenance of long term debt (bonds) and intercompany lending. Assisting with the completion of any credit facility documentation with third party banking partners.

Coordinating any bank guarantees required for the North America vendors and liaise with the London Treasury team

Maintaining an up-to-date database of banking tariffs by banking partner/country. Managing the distribution of dividends by North American affiliates to related parent companies and monitor potential withholding tax issues.

Requirements

Have a professional qualification e.g. accounting, tax, treasury or banking

Possess extensive knowledge of Corporate M&A, Accounting, Legal and Tax

Experience of working with or within complex multinational corporate environments

Experience in corporate treasury and familiarity with cash management

Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead a team

Have an exceptional analytical approach and ability to use own initiative in tackling problems and investigating options
