We oversee all active development projects within the Soho House portfolio. The team produces 100% design development drawings sets in house and partner with local architect to produce construction documentation sets. All millwork packages are also produced in house. We manage projects from concept to completion. It’s a true ‘roll up your sleeves’ type of environment. The RoleThe Commercial Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all commercial aspects of the projects under their remit are properly managed and controlled, and that commercial strategy is developed and delivered in accordance with the requirements of the business. This job will work on all active projects including but not limited to Soho Works, Soho House Developments, The Ned, and Routine/Major Capital projects in North America. This position will interact with teams in New York, Los Angeles and London. RequirementsMain Duties…

Support and guidance on all commercial issues within the active projects with the Commercial Director

Partner with Commercial Director in managing the monthly commercial deliverables including project forecasts, schedules, and budget updates.

Review and monitor budgets, purchase orders and plan developments within the active projects

Manage and review cost to complete forecasts

Ensure compliance with all development agreements for all current projects

Assist in developing brand standards for all development agreements

Participate in all weekly project calls and manage deliverables with design team

Identify improvements to commercial procedures

Provide contractual advice during the tendering process

Coordination and management of external consultant teams

Oversee and direct contractors, staff, suppliers and carriers to ensure timely results.

Manage relationship between Soho House Design and legal team

Required Skills/Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree

Must be highly organized, efficient and detail oriented

Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills

Must have strong business aptitude

Must have supervisory, coaching and staff development experience

Minimum 4 years in commercial development experience

Understand and Develop RFP’s

Ability to oversee contractors, suppliers and staff

Contract negotiation and project management skills

Microsoft Office suite proficiency

Ability to travel both domestically and internationally up to 60% of the time

Physical Requirements

Must be able to move pull carry or lift at least 30 pounds

Must be able to stand walk bend and lift for periods of time

Must be able to occasionally kneel bend crouch and climb as required on site

Must be able to make periodical fast paced movements are required to go from one property or site to another

Must be able to seize grasp turn and hold objects with hands
