As a Control Manager Vice President, you'll be responsible for leading and building out an enhanced control framework which supports a continuous and integrated approach to risk assessment. Additionally, you will ensure the team assists in top down risk analysis, real time control issue detection, escalation, root cause analysis and remediation.Job Responsibilities:

Create a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols

Review and analyze program related data (e.g., KRI/KPI) to support business-related programs and strategies

Provide leadership support for the end-to-end execution of the Risk & Control Self-Assessment, including control breaks and resolutions, to reduce financial loss, regulatory exposure, and reputational risk

Engage with control colleagues across the firm, business, operations management, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators and technology control functions

Support product delivery teams as they develop innovative new technology and partner with Fintechs, to ensure we have a proactive risk and control culture that enables a fast pace of innovation whilst maintaining the control environment.

To think innovatively and creatively to solve unique and new problems from first principles.

Complete the end-to-end Risk & Control Assessment for new products and services, identifying risks, recommending digital controls, and identifying potential control breaks/issues.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

7+ years of financial service experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance preferred

Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to design, create, and evaluate a Risk & Control Self-Assessment in conjunction with business partners

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

Familiar with modern collaboration tools and software, such as Jira/Confluence, Figma, Teams, Slack, and also legacy desktop software such as Microsoft Office.

Experience of control and risk management concepts with the ability to design, create, and evaluate a Risk & Control Self-Assessment in conjunction with business partners

An excellent problem solving mind, prepared to take on innovative new challenges and solve problems from first principles.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

Bachelor's degree in a technology/computing/engineering/science or mathematics discipline.

3+ years of experience working with or alongside Product delivery teams delivering innovative technology, especially within agile environments.

A good knowledge of cloud computing concepts, APIs, modern systems architecture, technology deployment processes, .

An understanding of the challenges of working within a regulated financial services environment, and controls, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance.
