Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks a Credit Portfolio Officer for its New York, NY location.Duties: Responsible for measuring, monitoring, and controlling counterparty risk for Real Money Funds clients including pension funds, investment advisor as agent, asset management companies, foundations, and endowments. Analyze and monitor client portfolios and businesses with a focus on counterparty and collateral risk to ensure risks are being properly measured and controlled in accordance with the Firm’s risk policies. Maintain and manage credit exposure arising from derivatives, financing, direct lending products, and custody services. Review and approve credit review memos as a first line of defense underwriter. Review and approve new funds clients at onboarding to establish appropriate risk parameters and credit limit. Advise and approve large transactions or deals that require individual risk assessment. Partner with businesses and quantitative teams on risk measurement enhancements, margin model development, new product approvals, and real-time monitoring and controls. Advise, design, and approve risk mitigation strategies including initial margin, variation margin, close-out netting, and collateral liquidity. Work with risk colleagues on risk mitigation at both inception of transaction and on an ongoing basis. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business, Finance, Economics, or other related quantitative field, and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation in the financial services industry. Four (4) years of experience must include: Analyzing risk profile of clients in the fund industry, setting credit limits, and assessing liquidity of client positions; Performing risk assessments on various types of products including, but not limited to, financial derivatives and security financing products; Advising, designing, and approving risk mitigation strategies including initial margin, variation margin, close-out netting, and collateral liquidity; Utilizing applications including Tableau, Tableau Prep Builder, and Python to visualize portfolio data and analyze counterparty exposure; Advising and designing risk measurement enhancements, margin model development, and real-time monitoring; and Risk Management in financial services with hands-on experience in FX, Interest Rate products, Commodity products, Fixed Income, and Equities derivatives.
