Job DescriptionThe Family Court Division of the NYC Law Department is seeking a Director of Data Analysis and Integrity to join the Central Management team. This position encompasses crucial work of varying degrees of difficulty and responsibility performed under the supervision of a Deputy Division Chief, including but not limited to:

Ensuring the accuracy of all data including that which is relied upon by the highest levels of staff within the Division and within the Law Department

Certifying legally mandated reporting of data to the NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS); the NYC Department of Probation; the NYC Police Department; as well as the reporting of data to the Office of Court Administration

Researching, compiling, and analyzing data related to Juvenile Justice and Intergovernmental Child Support cases and trends

Implementing methodology to ensure the accuracy of the information entered into the Law Manager system;

Developing and supervising a Litigation Discovery and Giglio Unit;

Participating in and preparing regular training sessions for both legal and support data entry staff

Preparing regular reports, charts, and PowerPoint presentations for senior management within the Division and the Law Department;

Responding to appropriate requests for data in a timely and accurate manner;

Initializing new cases, transfer dispositions and civilian/neighborhood complaints as necessary;

Working closely with the Litigation Support team to develop reports and implement new Family Court initiatives (i.e. new flags, new declination reasons) as well as correcting errors (i.e. referred cases with incorrect or missing arrest numbers) in support of the Division; and

Liaison to the Litigation Support, IT and E-Discovery Divisions.

The Director is a citywide position and the candidate will be expected to travel to the borough offices to review systems and conduct trainings and updates. Candidate will also be a member of the Division’s central management team and will have responsibilities related to the successful implementation of Division polices.The Director will participate in a citywide rotation of night and weekend court assignments.
