Reporting to the EVP, Sea Production, the Director, Sea Operations is responsible for overseeing and managing all ongoing production operations and client needs with an eye toward efficiency, creative excellence, and a world-class ‘service provider’ mindset. Leading a team of Production and Company Managers, with a special focus on project delivery, inter-department collaboration, and team building, this position is also responsible for upholding the RWS and client brand standards and supporting the continued innovation of all rehearsal and install operations. Role & Responsibilities

Holistic and comprehensive general management of operating budget across a global cruise ship entertainment operation

Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, internal teams and vendors

Managing the overall operational continuity of program changeovers and ongoing delivery to assigned clients

Acting as the main point of contact for the day-to-day operation in conjunction with EVP of Sea Production and other internal stakeholders to ensure that all communication is cohesive

Collaborating with client on high-level performer rotation and contract planning based on fleet deployment schedule

Maintaining strong technical, creative, and operational controls for each program at sea and ensuring all departments are delivering superior quality acrossproductionservices, casting, and ongoing operations

Manage yearly operations and changeover budgets for each cruise line client and project including annual department budgets for each program

Managing annual changeover schedule with all internal stakeholders

Facilitating scheduling and necessary consultation withproductionservices and casting and recruitment teams

Directing Company Management team, in coordination with internal teams and external Client reps and vendors, to facilitate full onboarding including payroll, housing and all travel needs including visas and medicals

Striving for continuous process-improvement and automation of processes to balance cost while controlling quality and efficiency, often searching for cost-innovative solutions, and challenging the status quo

Tracking and reconciling all client invoicing, bill backs and payroll as well as expense tracking

Facilitating contracting and invoicing forproductionservices team with all third-party creatives, technicians, and vendors

Working with New Build teams, to successfully handover the new build to the ongoing operations team

Ensuring that all systems for department organization are followed through on by all members of the department

Overseeing and providing back-stop support for day-to-day operational issues across all programs for operations team

Maintaining departmental calendars and oversight needs in connection with all internal Director-level and above stakeholders

Working with the EVP, Sea Production to establish and maintain operating procedures for all ongoing projects

Vetting, hiring and training new team members as needed

Qualifications

A BFA/BA degree in a live entertainment field or equivalent professional experience

5+ years of experience in the entertainment industry working in theatrical administration, general management, or live entertainment operations (Cruise Ship experience highly preferred)

A minimum of 3 years in a management position

Advanced written and verbal communication skills

Must be proficient in Excel and MS Office applications

A flexible schedule allowing for approximately 30% international travel

Additional Qualifications

Ideal candidates also have:

Advanced team leadership skills with an eye for long-term strategic thinking

Cruise ship and/or Theme Park experience

A valid passport for the duration of employment for all travel-related roles. Proof of vaccination against COVID-19 (or proof of exemption) will be required.

Status : Mobile (approved to work from home up to 2 days per week)

Mobile: Team members who are approved to work 2 days per week from home, with 3 days per week spent in RWS New York City headquarters.

Salary : $85k
