Looking for dog groomers for a new doggy daycare opening up in the West Village starting in mid July. Hours are flexible but grooming will be offered from 9am - 9pm Monday - Friday and 10am - 7pm Saturday & Sunday. Daycare already has a large number of clients, so no advertising is necessary.
We are looking for someone who is friendly and able to perform all grooming-related duties to make sure that dogs are safe, clean, and look great. Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Bathing
-Trimming and cutting hair
-Styling hair
-Clipping nails
-Drying dogs
-Cleaning ears
-Anal gland expression
-Teeth brushing
-Identifying health issues (like skin or ear infection)
-Working with dogs of all sizes and temperaments
-Ability to follow the dog parents' instructions and should be able to accommodate special requests (within reason)
-Maintain a clean and hygienic workspace
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience
Has formal training or certification
Is VERY familiar with poodle mixes ("doodles")
Is punctual
Is legal to work in the USA
Can perform all grooming-related duties necessary
Has excellent customer service skills
Can stand for extended periods of time
LOVES dogs
This position is commission based with tips, and you are required to bring your own equipment (clippers, brushes, etc)
