Description Our client, a distinguished, boutique employment litigation firm located in the heart of Midtown, Manhattan, is seeking an experienced Employment Attorney to join its growing team. Candidate must be admitted to practice law in New York State. The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice law in both New York and New Jersey and will have 6+ years of Employment Litigation experience. Candidates with strong litigation backgrounds who are interested in employment law are encouraged to apply. This is a hybrid role.Responsibilities / Requirements:

In search of a candidate with a strong, litigation background, excellent negotiation skills, and extensive understanding of federal, state, and city employment laws.

Significant experience leading cases representing defendants and advising employers on compliance and risk mitigation in employment-related matters.

6+ years of employment litigation experience, particularly defending against wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, discrimination cases, advising employers on risk mitigation, and representation in mediation. Open to candidates with general litigation experience.

Other duties include assisting with document and policy preparation (Handbooks, Separation Agreements, etc.), assisting with training materials, conducting workplace and 3rd party investigations, responding to agency (EEOC, NJDCR) Charges, preparing verbal and written investigation reports, and assisting with DOL Audits.

Admission to the New York State Bar; New Jersey State Bar admission is a plus.

Requirements

Must have a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school Admission to the New York State Bar; New Jersey State Bar admission is a plus.   • Represent public and private companies and private equity sponsors in connection with cross-border and domestic transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, strategic mergers, de-SPACs, take-private transactions, joint ventures, spin-offs and equity investments.
