In this role, you will work with experienced partners, senior directors and teams in the United States and globally on complex international tax matters to add value for clients while being a trusted advisor. As a member of the Global Transaction Tax team and specialist in US International Tax you will: Perform due diligence including review of US tax returns, financials, and other tax documentation to evaluate potential US international tax risks and opportunities, and summarize identified risks and opportunities in a commercial manner; Review and comment on US international tax aspects of financial models; Review and comment on US international tax aspects of purchase agreements; Coordinate with federal, transfer pricing and non-US tax team members, to deliver the highest quality work product, Provide expert advice on the US international tax implications of deal structures, including financing arrangements, repatriation issues and treaty implications, Assist with the design and implementation of comprehensive global tax restructurings and planning; Stay abreast of developments in US international tax, and contribute to thought leadership initiatives through publications, presentations, and industry forums.Build relationships with clients, and across Tax and the rest of A& M. Qualifications: CPA, JD (with bachelor's degree in accounting, preferred), or LLM requiredAt least 6 years of relevant experience in a mergers & acquisitions tax practice at a Big 4 firm, Big Law firm, or similar firm, and at least 3 years of experience in US international taxStrong writing, analytical, research, excel, and organizational skillsStrong communication, presentation, project management, and business development skillsStrong sense of personal motivation as well as the ability to work with a teamAbility to work in a dynamic, time-sensitive environmentRegular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings' fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD& D, and disability coverages at rates determined from time to time as well as a 401(k) retirement plan.   • The Manager, Global Retail Systems is responsible for overseeing the deployment and ongoing maintenance of retail sales and inventory systems. In partnership with the business and IT counterparts, this role will gather requirements and develop system designs by consulting with local markets and corporate partners and make decisions to support effective global business processes that maximize productivity and efficiency in the retail environment, elevating the overall experience of both clients and retail teams.The Manager, Global Retail Systems must be able to think strategically and manage projects and day to day project activities effectively and efficiently. They must deliver high quality output and can do so autonomously at times, under the guidance of the Director - Global Retail Operations. They will be open and approachable and will work with both the central team and the local teams in a transparent, united and mutually supportive manner.
