This individual must be highly skilled in communication and be interested in partnering with local law offices to develop business locally. Other cross-selling opportunities in areas of expertise would include Business Valuation and Advisory Services. This individual will be a champion - acting locally and thinking globally.What we offer:Baker Tilly wide Disconnect Days to rest and recharge.Hybrid working environment.A flexible and dynamic workplace with benefits and rewards centered around you.An opportunity to grow your career into what you want it to be.You will enjoy this role if: You are looking for your next challenge, crave variety where no day is the same, and feel your skills and experience can be better utilized.You maintain excellent client relationships by delivering the highest level of client service.You are a team player with strong communication skills and desire to work collaboratively with others to meet client needs.You are naturally curious, able to spot the unusual, and have a tenacity to discover the cause.You have a willingness to look at detail, without missing or losing the 'big picture'.You have a readiness to accept that everything one does might be challenged and have the confidence and resilience to handle these challenges, as well as the pressure of deadlines.You have proven industry experience outside traditional accounting i.e. energy, mining, or construction sectors.You feel valued when you are provided the resources and support to continually sharpen your technical skills and build your career now, for tomorrow.Responsibilities:Work directly with clients to provide insurance claim and litigation support, prepare damages calculations, and provide forensic accounting and business valuation services for insurers, law firms, corporates, and other stakeholders.Report directly to Principal and/or Director, involved in all project phases related to the valuation or forensic accounting assignment.Prepare, review and critique complex business valuation analyses, including discounted cash flow and LBO modelling, discount rate computations, market comparator and precedent transaction benchmarking analyses.Work on post-M&A matters such as breach of warranty claims and completion accounts/earn-out disputes; shareholder disputes; and non-contentious matters for reporting or information purposes.Apply insights and knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and IAS in determining Quality of Earnings adjustments for valuation purposes.Prepare comprehensive written reports for clients and in support of the named expert for litigation purposes.Deliver exceptional client service in all client interactions and projects.Communicate effectively, both internally and to clients, including those at an executive level.Qualifications:Must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college/university in the areas of Accounting and FinanceMust be accredited by one or more professional business valuation organizations and possess one or more of the following credentials - CPA, CFA, ASA, CVA, ABV or additional credentials such as CFE, CFF, CBAA minimum of six years public accounting or forensic consulting experience required. Will look at candidates with a combination of industry/professional service blend.Familiarity with Capital IQ beneficial.Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, communication skills and solid Microsoft Suite skills requiredAbility to provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of dutiesThe ability to work effectively in a team environment and comfortably interact with client personnel, including supporting the preparation of and participating in executive briefingsRelevant skills in project execution with hands on experience in the full life cycle of a projectExcellent written/verbal communications and collaboration skillsStrong project management and facilitation skillsFlexibility to travel to client site as needed and ability to work beyond core business hoursThe compensation range for this role is $111,170 to $240,580. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.Minimum Salary: 111170.00
