Summary

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to manage one of the pillar applications of our award-winning Financial Planning application. You will manage a team, mentor developers, interact with the business, contribute to the design, hire team members, help steer the process, and contribute directly to a sophisticated fintech platform.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Consistent delivery of a two-week product increment via Scrum.
  • Refine requirements with business stakeholders and technical colleagues.
  • Estimate new increments.
  • Design solutions to user problems with in the framework of our technical platform.
  • Implement holistic solutions utilizing working relationships across the enterprise.
  • Design, organize, and execute high impact solutions across teams both within and outside their division.
  • Establish, aggregates, and shares enterprise standards and best practices.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers within respective division.
  • Ensure production stability, monitoring, and root cause analysis is executed for their products.


Qualifications

  • Success in leading software development teams
  • Expert-level knowledge of either back-end or front-end software development (or both).
  • Fluency in Java, Kotlin, Javascript, Typescript, and common platforms/frameworks (NodeJS, React, Sprint Boot) sufficient to facilitate code reviews, understand existing features, and move designs forward.
  • Familiarity with the ins-and-outs of Scrum (or other Agile methodology)
  • Experience designing APIs.
  • Knowledge of current architecture, and popular approaches to solving problems with software.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience.
  • Experience developing and leading solution delivery using A gile methods.
  • Solid understanding of design patterns and architecture.
