Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Legal Receptionist in New York. Situated within the bustling industry of legal services, this role provides an avenue to interact with clients and manage administrative tasks in a law firm located in Midtown, Manhattan. As a Legal Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, ensuring smooth communication both in person and over the phone.Responsibilities: Greet and welcome clients and guests as they arrive at the office Manage incoming calls, ensuring professional phone etiquette at all times Schedule and manage the use of conference rooms Input visitor details into the building's security system Use Microsoft Office Suites to maintain detailed and accurate records Resolve client inquiries in a timely and professional manner Ensure the front desk is tidy and has all necessary stationery and material Receive, sort and distribute daily mail and deliveries Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing and photocopying. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role or in the legal industry Proficiency in performing receptionist duties including managing incoming calls, greeting clients, and organizing appointments Demonstrated expertise in professional phone etiquette, able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites including Word, Excel, and Outlook Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team High school diploma or equivalent; further education in legal studies will be a plus.
