Job description:
We are seeking a dedicated person who is mature and experienced with at least ten years’ experience working as a Companion/Assistant to care for an elderly person. This is a Live-in Assistant/Companion in New-Jersey in the countryside. Must love dogs.
Candidates must have prior experience working with Alzheimer patients. You will be responsible for assisting with daily exercise, outdoor walking, providing companionship, safety, comfort, and quality of life. Coordinating doctors’ appointments, medication management and chauffeuring as needed. Light cooking, ability to follow recipes, and cleaning required.
This is a Live-in position five days/week. Must be flexible to work on weekends. You will have your own two bedroom apartment separated from the family house as well as a car at your disposal.
Schedule: You will be working in conjunction with a full-time housekeeper/cook This position is Full-time five days/week with flexibility to work on weekends Saturdays and Sundays.
Ability to travel with the family during the Summer months to Martha’s Vineyard.
Salary: $90K + Healthcare and paid vacation.
