Rising Ground is headquartered in downtown Brooklyn ResponsibilitiesOversees the accounting for all of the managed care programs Job Responsibilities:

Interaction with Accounting Manager and Program Directors for development of the yearly budget

Monitoring variances of expenditures against budget and advising accounting manager and program directors

Work with Health Services billers to reconcile their billings

Prepare a monthly billing report in coordination with the Health Services billers

Posting of revenue and receivables

Reporting on monthly billings and receivables

Preparation of the monthly billing report

Prepare monthly budget to actual analysis

Conducting internal audit of program records, and preparing program staff for audits by independent CPA’s

Prepare program financial statements as required by either funding source or program management

Prepare supporting schedules and analyses for annual audit reviews for various programs and agency in general

Review financial information for various programs and report on a regular basis to senior finance staff and program management

Assist in monthly and year end close

Preparation of bank reconciliations, as assigned

Other miscellaneous duties, as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science or higher degree in accounting

5 - 7 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting

Experience in healthcare preferrable

High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Good problem-solving and time management skills

Experience with Great Plains Dynamic helpful but not essential

Strong analytical interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of employees

Highly organized and detail-oriented

SALARY $85,000 - 90,000
