Payroll Supervisor/Manager

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Supervisor/Manager in NEW YORK, New York, 10018, United States. As a Payroll Supervisor/Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payrolls, and will work closely with the Accounting, HR and Finance teams. Responsibilities: Assist with the processing of semi-monthly payrolls for salaried and hourly employees, as well as weekly equity payrolls. Prepare and submit timely payroll tax filings. Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and applicable federal and state regulations, including wage and hour regulations. Coordinate with the Accounting team for accurate payroll accounting and reconciliations. Liaise with HR and Finance teams, performing analyses and generating reports for compensation planning and financial analysis. Serve as the resource for employees on payroll matters. Assist with payroll related projects, including continuous process and system improvements. Identify areas for improvement and efficiency in payroll administration and provide recommendations to senior management. Coordinate with outside auditors for quarterly and annual audits. Assist with equity compensation including processing payrolls and performing reconciliations as needed. Skills: Proficiency in Payroll management for over 500 Employees Proficient in using Workday and Microsoft Excel Experience with Multi-state Payroll Familiarity with semi-Monthly Payrolls Requirements Proven experience as a Payroll Supervisor or similar role Expertise in payroll processing for over 500 employees Proficiency in using Workday payroll software is mandatory Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel Experience with multi-state payroll processing is required Familiarity with semi-monthly payroll schedules Excellent understanding of payroll tax laws and regulations Strong problem-solving abilities Exceptional communication and leadership skills Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or related field is preferred.
