What you can expect The Procurement Category Lead, Hardware and Datacenter will be responsible for Zoom’s end-to-end procurement activities, including: partnering with internal stakeholders, data analysis, research, strategy development, and proposal analysis and implementation. The assigned commodities emphasize datacenter hardware such as servers, power distribution units, racks, switches, cables and optics, and other data center related equipment. Responsibilities

Developing stakeholder support and cooperation on assigned commodities.

Designing, conducting and synthesizing supplier, industry, and market research for assigned

commodities to develop sourcing strategy.

Processing of data collection and analysis of spend data for assigned commodities.

Ensuring commodity spend is under management and contract compliance.

Developing sourcing strategy to support strategic commodity planning and savings.

Establishing metrics and tools to monitor progress and supplier scorecards.

Implementing agreements to consolidate suppliers/spend.

Providing analysis of existing requirements/pricing to ensure cost-effective options.

Analyzing historical spend as well as forecast to track savings by commodity.

Developing solid understanding of cost drivers and contracts by commodity.

Maintaining day-to-day supplier relationships; act as the lead point of contact on all commercial issues.

Identifying and negotiating commercial cost reduction opportunities

Supporting Product/Engineering to identify suppliers available for sourcing.

Issuing RFx for sourcing assigned commodities.

Reviewing, analyzing and clarifying quote packages from suppliers.

Negotiating, evaluating and issuing PO’s for assigned commodities.

Working on “Lean” initiatives and identifying other sourcing efficiencies via benchmarking, VA/VE, competitive quotes and resourcing.

What we’re looking for

Have five years experience in procuring datacenter hardware/Colocation

Have understanding of hardware, Colocation professional services and vendors and related contracts

Experience in working with datacenter hardware vendors and/or service providers

Have hi-tech, SaaS experience

Have excellent Excel skills

Have strategic sourcing, opportunity analysis, and contract negotiations experience

Have demonstrated ability to identify business process issues and drive improvement.

Have organizational skills to manage and track transactional details

Have the ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:Minimum:$121,600.00Maximum:$266,000.00In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value. Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
