Job Requisition ID: [[id]]Location Designation: [[custrolelocationdesignation]]Role Overview:The PX team has embarked on an exciting journey to transform the end-to-end purchase experience, encompassing all products, including life insurance, annuities, long-term care insurance, disability insurance, business solutions and wealth management. A key strategic initiative within the PX portfolio is the development of a Universal Purchase Experience, which will leverage data, simplified questions, intuitive design principles, and transparency to deliver a differentiating experience at the time of new-business intake and enable holistic advice and guidance via multi-product sales.In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, Product Owners, Underwriting, and external implementation partners, to ensure the successful delivery this key project. We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Analyst with deep expertise in life insurance products and operations, capable of effectively gathering, assessing, and documenting complex business requirements. Experience in system integration, process optimization, and driving seamless project execution is critical to the success of this initiative.As a key contributor to our innovation roadmap, the Business Analyst will play an instrumental role in delivering this high-impact, multi-million-dollar project. We are looking for a highly organized problem solver with an ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver complex, large-scale solutions. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of business analysis or equivalent experience, with strong expertise in software implementation within a fast-paced, matrixed organization. Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, define, and document business requirement

Write clear and concise requirements ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, feasible, unambiguous, traceable, and verifiable

Develop user stories, use cases, and process flow diagrams to communicate requirements effectively

Ensure requirements are fully understood by configuration, development, integration and testing teams to efficiently implement new features and enhancements

Support architects, designers and technical leads to design best practice solutions that satisfy business requirements

Requires understanding of data flow, system dependencies and interactions

Verify that the solution meets the business, compliance, and technical requirements

Assist the business and technology teams to ensure key deliverables are met in an accurate timely manner

Assist Product Owners to define acceptance criteria for key features of new technology

Partner with QA/UAT to design optimal test coverage based on acceptance criteria, business impact of defects, and technical risk for defects

Build trusted relationships between product owners and various solution delivery teams. Requires working across multiple NYL teams and vendors to ensure business functionality is understood and properly prioritized

What You'll Bring:

5-7 years of experience

5+ years of software implementation and business analysis, product management or consulting experiences

Prior experience working in the Life Insurance Industry is a plus

Demonstrated ability to identify, define and understand a problem, have knowledge of root cause analysis, and research effective solutions for the customer

Strong analytical, written, verbal and communication skills with the demonstrated ability to work with all levels within the organization

Must be very organized and have excellent follow-up skills

Must be team oriented in interacting with a diverse group

A proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Strong attention to accuracy and detail

Handles multiple contesting priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Agile experience and experience with agile development tools such as JIRA
