The Benefits Department plays a crucial role in shaping the well-being of our organization's workforce. As we continue to evolve, we are seeking a dynamic and proactive Senior Benefits Specialist to join our strategic team. If you are a go-getter, a subject matter expert, and a consultative leader who thrives on driving continuous improvement and contributing to the overall success of our benefits programs, we need you. You Will:

Proactively take ownership of managing benefit vendors strategically, fostering continuous improvement to optimize processes.

Promote a culture of excellent customer service within the department, ensuring accurate and proactive responses to all incoming inquiries.

Conduct thorough technical reviews of plan documents, including benefit summaries, SBCs, SPDs, and employee communications.

Handle complex inquiries with finesse, providing proactive recommendations for resolutions, such as escalated medical claim issues and appeals.

Lead and contribute to strategic projects, including Open Enrollment, service enhancement, process improvement, and new vendor implementations.

Generate insightful reports on utilization and cost of health and welfare plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., 5500, SAR, RDS).

Collaborate closely with the Benefits Communications team to initiate and drive impactful outreach initiatives.

Maintain an in-depth understanding of benefit laws and proactively apply this knowledge to ensure compliance.

Assist in leading a team of benefits professionals by organizing work, delegating responsibilities, monitoring progress, providing guidance, and appraising results.

You Have:

Minimum of 4 years of relevant benefits experience.

Strong background in Health & Welfare, with Regulatory Reporting experience highly preferred.

Excellent Excel and data analysis skills, demonstrating a commitment to quality.

Workday experience is a plus.

Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate consultative relationships effectively.

Superb written and verbal skills.

Ability to produce high quality work, independently, quicker than expected, under both routine and unusual circumstances
