Description We are offering a contract for a permanent position in the non-profit industry based in New York. The role we are seeking to fill is a Staff Accountant who will play a crucial part in maintaining and processing our financial records.Responsibilities: Ensure full cycle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations are running smoothly Generate detailed monthly financial reports Maintain and update the General Ledger on a regular basis Prepare and record Journal Entries as per the accounting standards Perform month end close activities in a timely and accurate manner Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure financial integrity Utilize software like NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various accounting tasks Leverage advanced Excel skills to analyze financial data and create reports Experience with SAGE Intacct will be advantageous, though not a requirement. Requirements Minimum five years of experience in a similar role within the Non-Profit sector Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Capability to perform Bank Reconciliations accurately and efficiently Expertise in maintaining and managing the General Ledger Knowledge and experience in making Journal Entries Ability to manage Month End Close processes effectively Experience in utilizing NetSuite for accounting-related tasks Familiarity with Oracle as an accounting tool Proficiency in using QuickBooks for various accounting functions Experience with SAP in an accounting context Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
