Nevis Laboratories of Columbia University is seeking Staff Associates II to work on instrumentation development for high energy physics experiments.Staff Associates II will work on instrumentation development for high energy physics experiments and assist in design efforts spanning a wide variety of instrumentation developments for high energy physics experiments, including complex mixed analog-digital printed circuit boards (PCB), custom ASICs, and large FPGA-based trigger and data acquisition systems. They will assist with development of corresponding testing infrastructure.The successful candidates will work in close collaboration with physicists of the scientific staff of Nevis Laboratories, which is the high energy physics laboratory of Columbia University, located in Irvington, NY. Current projects include ATLAS at CERN, MicroBoone and SBND at Fermilab, DUNE at SURF and sPHENIX at Brookhaven. Salary will be commensurate with experience.Please note the location of these positions are at Nevis Laboratories in Irvington, NY.Staff Associates II must hold a BA/BS in Physics or Engineering, or equivalent. Two years of professional work experience is required.
