We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a team of staff members in a fast-paced bagel shop environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective time management, and a passion for the food industry. The Shift Leader will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of food safety and service quality while fostering a positive work atmosphere.
Duties
● Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the shop, ensuring smooth workflow and efficiency.
● Train, mentor, and motivate team members to provide outstanding customer service/ quick service.
●Manage cash handling procedures, including accurate cashiering and basic math calculations.
●Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices.
●Assist with coffee preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of quality.
●Utilize Square POS and delivery platforms for order processing and inventory management.
●Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve sales targets.
●Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
●Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café environment.
Experience :
● Previous experience in a leadership role within the food service or retail industry is preferred.
● Familiarity with Square systems is advantageous.
●Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive guest experiences.
●Barista experience or knowledge of coffee preparation is a MUST
● Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking.
●Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math applications are essential.
● Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is required.
