Food Service Technician II
Location: Far Rockaway, NY
Hours: 2 days/week, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM (10 hours/week)
Salary: $19.90–$20.00 per hour

Position Summary
Assist in the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals while maintaining sanitation standards. Supports volunteers, manages food inventory, and ensures cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas. Works under the supervision of the Senior Director of Nutrition or designee.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED preferred
NYC Food Handler’s Certificate required
Ability to lift, stand for long periods, and perform light custodial duties
Basic computer skills and ability to follow safety protocols
Strong communication skills in English
Key Duties
Prepare, cook, and serve meals (congregate or Grab-and-Go)
Receive, store, and manage food inventory
Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
Support volunteers and assist with program operations
