- Planning and supervising tasks carried out by the food preparation staff.

- Taking responsibility for the health and safety of the food team.

- Planning food prep and ensuring that the menu is fresh and well presented.

- Presenting original food and recipe ideas to collaborate with the executive chef on new menu items

- Preparing order sheets to give to the executive chef and keeping an updated inventory, to prevent items from being 86ed and reduce food waste.

- Receiving deliveries and checking invoices to make sure that all items are there, and in their best condition, handling return requests

- Changing the fry oil twice a week when needed, or ensuring that there is a system for fry oil maintenance.

- Checking regularly that the equipment and work areas are kept spotless.

- Keeping abreast of and complying with the latest health and safety laws and regulations.
