Job Summary:
We seek a detail-oriented and motivated Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, assisting with kitchen prep tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of the line during service. You’ll play an essential role in maintaining quality and consistency across both locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and portion ingredients, such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and making sauces according to recipes and kitchen standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist the Line Cooks and chefs by preparing mise en place (everything in its place) to ensure efficient service.
- Maintain proper storage and labeling of food items, ensuring freshness and minimizing waste.
- Follow prep lists and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Assist in cleaning and breakdown of the kitchen, including washing utensils, cookware, and equipment.
- Collaborate with team members across both locations to ensure consistency in food prep and production.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Prep Cook or in a similar role is preferred but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation, kitchen equipment, and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work shifts across both locations as needed.
- A passion for food and a willingness to learn about Filipino cuisine.
