We are looking to add a member to our team at this small but high-volume bakery in Ridgewood, Queens, just off the Forest Ave stop. We sell fresh loaves of bread and pastries, all baked day-of, and offer espresso drinks, matcha, and teas. We are looking for a candidate with the following qualities:
-at least one year of barista experience, milk steaming expertise
-ability to multi-task
-honest and clear communication
-ability to stay calm, friendly, and organized during big rushes
-willingness to work as a team as well as independently
-respectful and mature
The Barista, along with other team members, is responsible for not only making espresso drinks but also batch brewing cold brew and concentrates, working the POS system, attending to customers, and the set-up and break-down of FOH each day, among other duties. The starting wage will be between $16-$18 per hour depending on experience, plus tips. We are looking for someone to commit to 4 shifts a week, including at least one weekend day.
