A leading payroll service provider located in Astoria, Queens is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Administrative/Payroll Assistant to join our team. We are a fast-paced, client-focused office looking for someone who is organized, professional, and eager to learn.
Position Overview
The Administrative/Payroll Assistant will interact directly with clients to obtain payroll information and assist internal staff with day-to-day administrative tasks. This role involves client communication, data entry, document management, and general office support.
Responsibilities
Answer and route incoming phone calls and emails
Communicate with clients to collect and verify payroll information
Perform accurate and timely data entry
Maintain organized digital and paper files
Assist with various administrative tasks as needed to support office operations
Qualifications
Professional attitude with strong customer-service skills
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team environment
Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
Previous office or payroll experience is a plus
Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required
Proficiency with computers and basic office software
